The Build Process
Join us on our journey behind the scenes of crafting our power catamaran boat, where precision meets passion.

Design, Planning & Hull Construction, Framing & Skeleton
The journey begins with meticulous design and planning, where naval architects collaborate to create a blueprint that balances performance, stability, and aesthetics.
Craftsmen lay the foundation by constructing the dual hulls, the signature feature of a power catamaran. The hulls are precision-engineered for optimal hydrodynamics and structural integrity.

The skeleton of the boat takes shape as a sturdy framework is built, providing the structural support necessary for the vessel’s integrity.
Utilizing state-of-the-art composites and the resin-infused process, a revolutionary technique in composite construction, the Make/Model boat achieves unparalleled performance and reliability on the water. Unlike traditional methods, the resin-infused process involves strategically infusing resin into composite materials at the molecular level. This ensures optimal distribution of resin throughout the structure, resulting in a stronger, more durable hull with enhanced structural integrity.

Furthermore, the resin-infused process allows for precise control over the resin-to-fiber ratio, minimizing excess resin and reducing overall weight without compromising strength. The result is a resilient, lightweight hull that redefines industry standards. This not only improves speed and maneuverability but also enhances fuel efficiency, allowing the boat to cover greater distances with less fuel consumption. From increased durability to improved handling, every aspect of the vessel is optimized to deliver an exceptional boating experience.

Wiring & Systems Integration, Deck & Superstructure Assembly
Skilled electricians wire the power catamaran, integrating cutting-edge systems, navigation equipment, and onboard technology to ensure seamless functionality.

The deck and superstructure are carefully assembled, creating the exterior shell of the boat. Attention to detail is paramount as craftsmen work to achieve a flawless finish.

Additionally, the EZ Anchor System employed has revolutionized the anchoring experience by effectively addressing the persistent issue of tangled anchor lines. By leveraging innovative design principles and advanced technology—such as separate anchor compartments, guided pathways, and automatic tensioning mechanisms—the system enhances safety and ensures smooth, convenient deployment and retrieval, providing peace of mind for boaters navigating diverse marine environments.

Interior Crafting, Engine Installation & Finishing Touches
Interior artisans take the helm, transforming the vessel’s interior into a luxurious haven. From cabinetry to upholstery, every detail is crafted to enhance comfort and aesthetics.
Powerful engines are expertly installed to maximize performance, ensuring the power catamaran lives up to its name on the open water.
The vessel undergoes meticulous detailing, from painting and polishing to the addition of branding elements, giving it a distinct and refined appearance.

At the heart of this groundbreaking vessel lies its most revolutionary feature: the sophistication of its command console. With a finger on the pulse of customer preferences, we’ve heard a recurring refrain in the boating industry—the demand for larger screens and increased accessibility. By staying attuned to market needs and embracing the latest advancements, we’ve redefined the industry standard with an optional five-display dash that elevates the boating experience to unprecedented levels of functionality and convenience.

Positioned at the center of the console are gargantuan twin 24” Garmin displays, accompanied by a dedicated 17” Garmin display for engine gauges, flanked by two optional 16” Garmin displays. The triple-helm console, complemented by aft mezzanine seating, offers unparalleled versatility, allowing for seamless transitions between relaxation and expansive control at the helm.

Whether navigating tranquil waters or charting new horizons, this innovative command center ensures precision and control like never before.

Quality Assurance, Testing, Optimization & Performance
Rigorous quality assurance protocols are implemented, followed by comprehensive sea trials. This phase ensures the boat meets safety standards and performs optimally under real-world conditions.
Passive ventilation decreases the wetted surface area and effectively increases fuel efficiency by 10–15% when planning. Kush Kat is designed to withstand harsh sea conditions.
Virtual Tow Tank Testing
To test, iterate, and optimize vessel performance and stability, MVI adopts specialized virtual tow tank testing. The CAD model and operating conditions are provided as inputs to the virtual tow tank analysis. A dedicated Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) service provider is consulted to conduct the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. A Volume of Fluid (VOF) method is used in conjunction with a Dynamic Fluid Body Interaction (DFBI) model to capture free-surface effects and vessel movements, respectively.
The virtual tow tank testing provides both quantitative and qualitative results that can be used to predict whether the vessel performs according to hydrodynamic design specifications and to further optimize the design. The free-surface results of the CFD simulations for Kush Cat and the surface pressure distribution are illustrated above.
